Blending the Old with the New
| This turn-of-the-20th-century bookcase
came to us with just the top section and crown molding. The client
asked that we fabricate a base to match the original base that came with
the other upper casing.
After performing design research and using similar woods, we constructed the lower casing, right down to the brass door keyhole escutcheons. The entire cabinet was then finished to appear as the original finish might have looked if untouched. A high tech lighting system was installed to display a pottery collection. |
